I met him in Atlanta. I was on my way to a conference and he was there. I didn’t like him at first sight. I was on this mission of self love and didn’t have time for men. I didn’t see how attractive & handsome he was. He walk over trying to tell a little joke and I look at him like he was crazy. He came across cocky & arrogant but sexy as hell. Its been a month since the conference and I will be flying down there next weekend to see him. He’s been sending tulips and roses to my job & home every week. I especially like the sunflowers I received just this morning with a bunch of gift cards to my favorite stores. It shows that he really pays attention to my needs and likes. The flight to Atlanta is easy and quick. I’m nervous and excited that I will finally get to see him. It’s been six weeks and worth the long wait. As I’m leaving the airport, I see a man holding a sign with my name on it. After a quick introduction, he takes my bags and we’re headed on our way. He’s very talkative and I welcome the distraction. As we pull up to a construction site I’m thinking, Why are we here? We have been on the road for two hours listening to old school rap and 90’s R & B music. We made one stop for gas and snacks. The drive has been very insightful exchanging stories about our life and lessons we learned along the way. We talk about things we want to accomplish and goals we have for the future. (Name) woke up very happy this morning and now he is singing in the shower. I’m getting dressed and feel a little sad because this is our last day together before I get on the plane to go home. It’s Friday morning and (Name) will be here within the hour. I have been cleaning and rearranging my house all week. My stomach in knots and I didn’t get a good night sleep.
